I want to introduce you to Steve and Michelle Edsel. They are the owners / operators of God's Little Acres, Westfield North Carolina.
The Edsel's had a desire for their next home. It was a ministry desire. They wanted to be a blessing to missionaries.
In Steve's own words, he states the following,
"When we started praying for a home, this was the answer to all our prayers. I asked God that if He would give us this home,
we would in turn give it back to Him."
"Giving missionary families a place to stay that hopefully feels as much like home as possible is our wish for them."
I can testify to you from personal experience that this is exactly what it feels like to stay in the Edsel's home. It is a wonderful place of rest and relaxation. I, and my family, stayed with them on a Friday / Saturday when I was preaching a local church in the area.
We had the upstairs of the home completely to ourselves. There is a Master Bedroom with a toddler bed, and there is also another bedroom that has a bunk bed and a twin. Between the two bedrooms is a nice sitting area, and there is even an outdoor patio on the second floor. The private restroom with a shower, was so convenient to the rooms.
Their theme verse for this ministry is Hebrews 13:1-2.
Hebrews 13:1–2
Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Definitely reach out to Steve if you are traveling through the area and need a place to stay.
